Yes, we hug trees, but not all trees are created equal. This particular nuisance spots a gajillion seeds that like to sprout into new trees that we’ll be picking/cutting for the rest of the season. They also tend to drop branches and they outcompete native trees. Do you have a yard full of these now? Take them up asap before they take hold!

Beautiful day to be outside growing food for community! Let’s be honest though, a lot of people are struggling right now and the hope with this project is that they will see that someone cares, someone is trying to help while also bringing a bit of joy and beauty to the world at the same time. We so appreciate when kind words are shared by passersby and we see that the site is brightening up at least a few peoples day. If you like what’s going on here and want to support the @tsasalmonarm please help with a donation or come down on the second Wednesday of each month this season to have a tour, learn a bit and even pitch in for awhile. As always we are grateful for the efforts by @foodactionsociety to help with #foodsecurity in #salmonarm Show them some love for their important work, they are crucial and passionate locals on an urgent mission.
